As a business coach, I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs build a long-lasting brand, not just make a quick buck. I've had countless marketers approach me, telling me how I'm doing my Instagram wrong.
But to be honest, I couldn't care less about trying to please Instagram's algorithms just to get more organic reach because I firmly believe building a solid online presence takes time, and while Instagram is a piece of the puzzle, it's not everything.
Let me tell you a story about someone I know who created a brand new Instagram account, targeted holiday shoppers, totally nailed the holiday shopping scene. They did all the "right" things to hack the algorithm and built a huge following like, crazy fast, without any paid stuff. They made a quick profit and then closed their account. The following year, they came up with a new product idea, and started the process all over again. Is that the kind of approach you want for your business? I didn't think so.
With that said,
Do I care that I need to post more reels to impress Instagram? Not really.
Do I care about using all the latest social media trends? Not really.
Because that's not the kind of approach, I advocate for as a business coach.
What matters to me is good content and consistency.
If you want to build a strong online presence, you need to commit to consistency and quality. That's why I focus on teaching fundamental business principles and strategies that will serve you for years to come. Plus, like I said, there are so many ways to get clients, Instagram is just one small part of the strategy.
